My name is Gaëtan Mariage, a French citizen fluent in English, Spanish, and German. For more than 35 years, I’ve built my career as a video editor and photographer, with a strong foundation in documentary filmmaking. I’m comfortable collaborating closely with directors, editors and production teams, and I understand how to shape a project’s emotional arc through sound and image.

A lifelong music lover and occasional DJ, I’ve developed deep knowledge across genres, eras, moods, and cultures. I don’t rely on apps to discover music, as they’re driven by hype and algorithms; instead, I explore independently and follow my own curiosity. My niche lies in darker, experimental styles that bring texture and character to moving images. I know how to work with musicians and navigate music rights, clearances, and licensing.

Bringing together my visual storytelling experience and my passion for sound naturally led me to Music Supervision, where I help filmmakers craft the musical score that elevates their stories.
